Hi peeps, I wonder if you can help me, as this is really bugging me now...I've got 2 256mb RAM sticks in my PC, one a Samsung and one another brand. The problem is, one of them doesn't seem to register with my PC when I turn it on - both on BIOS and in Cacheman XP. However, if I then reset the computer, I then appear to have the full 512 RAM. So basically I have to reset my computer after bootup every time unless I want my PC to be incredibly slow. Any idea why this could be, and how I can fix it?

    1. Reseat ram, see if it helps.

    2. Put ram in different slots (if possible)

    3. Try booting with only one stick. Try that stick in each of the slots.

    4. If it is one stick, try running memtest on that stick.

    5. Try resetting bios (CMOS Reset)

    6. Try updating your bios by going to your motherboard manufacturers website and downloading the latest bios and flashing it.
