I was updating my laptop last night and was instructed by Microsoft to use Windows Defender Offline to remove the alureon Trojan. I did just that and now my computer will not start. After Googling the problem I see that this is a rather common occurrence. I would appreciate any help that I can get. I am using Windows 7 / 64 bit. I followed the instructions in a previous thread and now I am at the point where I need the fixlist.txt file. I have attached the FRST.txt file

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated,

    Thank You,

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Try the below.

Download this >> View attachment fixlist.txt

Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.
Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

Now see if you can boot into normal Windows.
