   Dunno if I'm rrading your question correctly, but do you need to uncompress a RAR file you have downloaded or create one?
   
   
   For uncompressing a RAR try TugZip but for Compressing a file to RAR WinRAR is the only one iirc as its a proprietory format.
   
   
   Are a few other utils that uncompress rar, like 7-Zip, PeaZip, ZipGenius, Zipeg etc
