    Hello,

I need some instant or close to instant help.

Long story short - I put a PCI slot into my comp, the computer wouldn't start anymore. Wouldn't turn on at all.

Anyway, took all the leads out of the motherboard etc.. and cleaned the bloody thing out - I didn't think this would solve the problem by the way, it just seemed to be a good way of doing things at the time.

Anyway, guess who forgot where the cables went? Me.

The cables that I forgot the place of, are of course the on and off buttons of the tower. I downloaded a map of the motherboard and where everything was meant to go, but alas - not one of the codes on the cable match the map table on the sheet, so I don't know where anything goes.

    My motherboard is a: MSI-65-85

    Basic Details

There's also a downloadable .PDF Manual there as well - bloody server keeps timing out though. (39-40th page has the supposed connection details)

The cables with codes on the end are the following:

(if they're in a list then they stem from the one cable)

    Out R Out L (3)
    Ret R Ret L (3)
    GND (1)

    VCC1 USB1+ USB1- (3)
    VCC2 USB2+ USB2- (3)

    1 GND
    2 GND

    RESET SW (2)
    H.D.D LED (2)
    Power LED (3)
    Power SW (2)

I realize that isn't a lot of detail..so if theres anything else that is needed - don't hesitate to ask. I have reason to believe that the power supply has simply seen better days - although it is only about 2-3 years old. It might have just blew and this is what is causing the problem.

Anyway, a very noob thread to start my day and to end most of yours I assume.

    Cheers for any help.
