Really Bad Ping Rates :(

need some help guys,ive got Avast anti virus. I'm meant to have a top speed of about 8mb. an my speed is terrible. ive got wirless but im connected by an ethernet to act as a ADSL modem (i think thats what it is)

Anyways so yeah even goin on google,an trying to search for something has its problems it wont load up it gets stuck.

Im proberly infested an it wouldnt suprise me as ive jst bought this computer for a mere £50. Decent specs too,anyways so yeah id really like some help in resloving my ping rate please.
