OK, I have an old laptop . I'd love to have a new laptop, but I'm broke. So, what do I need to know about adding memory to my laptop? I have an Dell Latitude D620. Service Code 9zp65c1. I am running Vista. I ran Belarc Advisor, and it said:

    014 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

Slot 'DIMM_A' has 1024 MB (serial number 00006033)
    Slot 'DIMM_B' is Empty

I am assuming that I can put more memory in slot B. What I don't know is how to buy memory. Can someone help me figure out what is and isn't compatible?

    Hi

    Go to www.crucial.com

They have an online scanner that will tell you exactly what memory you can get.
