    Hi

So you dual boot with XP SP3 and Win7 Sp1? just to be clear here?

If XP Sp3 is errant in sound then do you have any yellow ! marks in device manager and if so what?

When the driver fails to install, what is the error message given in full?

The UAA driver will not install from an download if you have one as SP3 already has the UAA driver built in by design, so likelyhood is you may need to do the below.
