    Hi,
Need help with my realtek. Have tried all poss options of removing UAA drivers and installing Realtek and vice versa following most of the threads from previous post here.Nohing worked and its been almost two weeks am stuck with no sound and no sound icon on my system tray.Have tried disabling and enabling in BIOS, reisntalled drivers and restarted and reformatted a lot of times using system restore.Ran cc cleaner after each uninstall and reinstalling.Nothing worked so far. Have gone into regedit and removed the K88111 AND REINSTALLED ..when everythings ready relatek shows in Yellow exclamation mark and this device cannot start up code 10.Tried almost everything..All i get back is to square one with no sound in my system.A real tick off and almost losing my patience. Any help would be helpful.
Realtek High Definition Audio shows up in the list of installed hardware with a yellow circle and an " ! " inside that circle.
Running out of ideas..nothings worked..mines Realtek HD version 1.67

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I've tried uninstalling it from my device manager, and doing the Add Hardware thing again....

"Found New Hardware.... Realtek High Definition Audio."

"A problem occured during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly."

Again, Realtek High Definition Audio shows up in the list at the end of the wizard with a yellow circle and an " ! " inside that circle.

    Greetings, sam_lithium.

Don't know if you've seen it yet, but here's the MS Code-10 article: KB943104.

Any reason for not updating to SP3? There has been a spate of Realtek issues in the forums lately, and SP3 has helped some of them.

For what it's worth: I've never spent 2 weeks on an onboard audio problem - a cheap PCI sound card does wonders.
