Reccomendations on .gif creating software or methods

    Does anyone have any recommendations on .gif creating freeware or methods on how to do it?

    The GIMP

    It is opensource, it is like just like Photshop and has options for GIF and Animated GIF.

    I'll second that. The GIMP is the shizz, and you don't have to go any further than Majorgeeks to get it!

    Note that you will have to install the GTK runtime, then the program files, and then optionally, the help system.
