Recommendations for hardware testing programs?

Hey, what is a good program to test the RAM, HD, and MB components?

This computer here has brief halts every few seconds. Its not running smoothly. I know the monitor has shown a strange red screen before. The sound is distorted and cracky. It takes a long time to restart or shutdown the computer.

I figured testing the RAM, MB, and HD would help me narrow things down. I know the HDD had virus problems before and was reformatted by another guy. I originally built this computer and had no problems for the few months I had it before giving it to a friend.

2 GB DDR2-667 Super Talent
CPU E4300 C2D
GPU ATI Radeon X1650 Pro, 512 MB AGP...MB also has PCIe video card slot.
HDD Seagate 320 GB
