recording a flash video stream?

    Hi just a quick query,
    My friend wants me to record a video stream on the internet for him. All I know is it plays in macromedia flash and loads in the browser. He said there were special software you could get that would record it but I can only find recorders for windows media player streams or real media streams. Is it possible to do whats he wants?
