I have a 60 gig Western Digital HDD that I thought was failing. It was partitioned into two drives E: for my OS (Win Xp Pro) and C: for storing a few odds and ends. I removed the drive and added it as a slave to the new server i just built. (wanted to work with Win 2000 Adv. Server so i built one) The server had a large enough drive that i could just move all my files and then dump the 60 gig. When i assigned a drive letter only the files from C: appeared.
They were useless so i deleted them. but i couldnt see E:
Heres the dumb part, I hit the "delete partition" and now the drive says "Unallocated" I NEED to get those files from the E: drive back. (my honeymoon, wedding, babtisms, party photos are on that drive, and im a dead man if i cant figure this out) I should know better i know..... Is there ANY way to recover a deleted partition or am i in the dog house permanently?
    HELP!
    thanks

Active@ Undelete can restore lost partitions quite easily.
Select your hard drive from the 'Local Devices' (not 'Local Drives') section and perform an advanced scan. If it fails, try again with a low level scan. When the lost partition has been found, you should be able to recover the files of it.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who offered advice during this trying and frustrating time. I really appreciate all the help. On a good note, was able to recover all the data the was on the deleted partition. Went with the Acronis Disk Director software, worked like a charm.
    Thanks again everyone.
    Much love,

    Acronis is good, yes.

Btw, next time you could look for recovery software here: http://recovery-review.com - many recovery tools are reviewed (shareware and freeware).
