I have been having a problem opening a program, when i click on it i get the message - The instruction at "______________" referenced memory at "________". The memory could not be "read".

The quotes are always a series of letters and numbers (never the same ones)

I am completely stumped by this. Can anyone help me with this?

    What would be the program?

have you checked for any updates for that program?

What OS and is it fully upto date with all updates/service packs?

Any other programs having same issue or just one?

The program I'm trying to use is Royal Vegas Poker.
I am fully up to date running Win XP.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it and i still get the same thing.
The numbers/ letters in the quotes are always different.
Recently another unusual thing happened, when I went to the website and tried to download it again; I clicked on download and instead of downloading it I was re-directed to some unicef-type site!
What the heck can I do?

It's the only program giving me trouble.

I know this response is a long time coming. (sorry for that, I havent checked this thread in awhile)
But the solution was to uninstall Royal Vegas Poker and JAVA as well.
Then I downloaded and installed the latest java version and RVP subsequently worked afterwards.

sleepyinsurrey, please start a new thread with your problem. It is not a good idea to attach your problem to a thread from 2006.
