I am trying to set up a system where I can log in from any computer e.g. computer at friends house, and stream video that I have stored on my computer. I was thinking about doing this via creating a VPN connection to that computer using Windows XP built in VPN server wich allows a PPTP connection. I have set it up and it indeed works but I was wondering how much I am compromising the security of this computer? Also, if security is compromised, is there a better way to stream videos on my computer to another computer besides a VPN connection?

    Thanks
