RegCleaner XP

    Just downloaded this program and can find no readme or tutorial. Is it hiding somewhere that I can't find? (Obvious) I've had this machine for four years and have never cleaned the registry, basically because I know next to nothing about it. Do I just start the program and follow its lead?
    Compaq 06E4h mobo with AMD Duron 750Mz
    512 Mb SDRAM pc133

    RegCleaner XP? From here? You mean RegCleaner or WT RegCleaner XP? Not too many come with a large help file, its scan and delete and backup and cross your fingers for the most part, backing up is most important. If the program lacks a backup feature, find another one, maybe RegCleaner or RegSupreme.

    Thanks Major A!! It is WT Reg Cleaner XP. Also downloaded a nifty little registry backup program and ran that first. Thanks for the info, Boccemon

    Worked like a charm!! It removed 61 items in registry...it restarted...so I guess I'm OK!:) I really appreciate this site. I have already learned more here than in the class I take once weekly. Boccemon
