Registry Grief

Hi all.
I have had problems playing backed up games.
From what I have read it may be something to do with bits of copying software,ie, cdclone, hidden in my registry.
I have tried manually removing anything to do with clonecd and other such software but I am obviously not finding everything.
What is the safest way to clean it out??

What is the actual issue? Is the problem with backing up the originals of the games you own or is it playing the games after installing them from the backups? Or something else? Why are you trying to remove CD copying software when the problem as you stated had to do with playing backed up games? Please clarify the issue and give more details.
