    Hey guys!

Long story short, I had to format my computer and do a re-install of XP. Now I have no sound. I'm guessing I don't have the drivers for it. I checked on Everest and it's something like INTEL 82801DB AC'97 audio controller. Tried clicking on the link to update, but they don't exist anymore?

There is a report in the attachment. Any help would be appreciated guys!

    Thanks

    More speedy movement

Start - Run type this mmc devmgmt.msc - Ok - right click to yellow device - Properties - Details - scroll down the arrow finding Hardware ids - there is a code in the box , we need it ( select all - copy - paste ) the code here !! :)

Sorry I don't quite understand. I know how to get the Hardware ids, I just don't know where to get it from? e.g. Sounds, video and game controllers? Which sub heading do you want it for?

Do you have any yellow exclamation marks under Sounds?

    Hi

It would be great if you could tel us what version Fujitsu Scenic PC you have, maybe a sticker on the PC somewhere that tells you the model as we can go around in circles for years with drivers as not all generic drivers will work with a OEM PC, they need the original drivers to work properly.

From your logs I may and stress may have found the right model and below is what to initially install and see if this helps

Do make sure your Windows XP is at Service Pack 3 as you are and all updates are done.

Install the Chipset driver HERE and reboot then install the Audio HERE both are from Fujitsu.
