Remotely access to PS3 External HDD

    hi all,

    just wondering if anyone can help me out with the following. i currently have to unplug my external hard drive connected to my ps3, scoot into my bedroom and plug in and copy all my latest shows / movies accross then scoot back to the ps3 and vala. im wondering if anyone can help me with cutting out the middle man process. i want to me able to connect to my external hard drive remotely from my computer. my computer and ps3 are both on the network.

    any and all suggestions/tips etc would be much appreciated

    You might want to look into a uPnP AV server. You can configure media player 11 upwards to act as a media server and I believe you PS3 will then pick up your media player playlists and libraries.

    I dont own a PS3 but I am fairly sure it supports uPnP
