I used Windows Defender Offline to boot the laptop (hp g6-1b50us Win 7 x64) from the USB that I put WDO on. It detected the virus :)DOS/Alureon.H) and removed it, but when it tries to restart and gets to loading windows it crashes.

I have read and followed your instructions to a similar problem from another member. Attached is the FRST.txt file from the laptop.

A big THANK YOU for any and all help you can provide me with.

Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.

    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST.exe on your flash drive.

Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

Now boot into normal Windows can continue with the below.

    Running MGTools.
