If I remove and reinstall internet explorer will I lose all of the emails that I had on outlook express??? I can't get onto the internet at all and saw someone say that they removed IE via Add/Remove programs and then reinstalled it and then their search capability was restored???

You really do not nned to, and it is not easy to, remove Internet Explorer. Frankly, just delete the icons that link to it and forget about it. That said, removing IE itself should not break the internet, no more then removing any other program. Outlook is the same deal.
