This is a shared laptop that is used throughout the house. Apparently someone tried to download a program that they had no business doing so. My main concern is messing with a monitoring program called SpyAgent I have installed on the computer. Having this software has been a necessity for keeping up with internet activity in this household and I would really prefer to keep it if at all possible. For this reason I have run all the scans without quarantining anything and have skipped running MGtools at all. I don't want something that is associated with this software to get deleted inadvertently. If worse comes to worse and I have no choice but remove the program, I'll go ahead and do so. I just didn't want to make any moves without someone checking out the logs to tell me what is okay and what isn't. Thanks in advance.

MGTools is only an info program. It does not remove anything. Please run it and attach the log.

Rerun Hitman and have it remove the malware remnants and the PUP;s.You also need to fix what MBAM found. Make sure you uncheck any items that are related to SpyAgent.

Please tell me what issues you are having.

There is quite a bit of files in MBAM that need fixing.

Tell me how things are running.

Things APPEAR to be running okay. The popups that I was receiving previously are no longer a factor. Not quite sure what all of the "White Smoke" stuff is that's showing up on MBAM. It might be from the previous owner. Should I still have reason to worry?

White smoke is crap that needs to be removed. Are you worried about breaking SpyAgent?

I am worried about messing with SpyAgent. I thought that running the three programs that you asked previously would have taken care of the junk? I ran MBAM, Hitman & MGtools in that order. Is all that junk still showing up after running everything?

You can remove everything related to Whitesmoke in MBAM. Reboot and rescan with MBAM and attach the new log.

    You're welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
