Removing Microsoft Update Uninstalls

Does anyone happen to know if there is an application designed to conveniently remove the multitude of Microsoft Update Uninstalls that accumulate over a period of years? I suspect that removing them would not only free up valuable disc space but also reduce scan times. Ideally, it would be able to distinguish between Microsoft Update Uninstalls and other Uninstalls that may actually be needed to remove various unwanted programs/applications at some future point in time. Thanks for your time.

 

AFAIK there is System Cleaner. It's an old free software program but it works to remove Microsoft Uninstalls and other stuff. http://www.majorgeeks.com/System_Cleanup_d4533.html

One can remove the check marks in the little boxes if you don't want to remove all of the listed removal possibilities.

PS: Just be absolutely sure that you don't need the Microsoft uninstallers anymore though and that your system works fine.

 

Why uninstall it? stop it from updating, isn't that enough?

 

The Microsoft update uninstall doesn't remove the updates themselves. Using Frankey's software to delete the "uninstall" just removes the ability to uninstall the updates, that's all. It removes them from the Add/Remove Programs only. If these Updates/Hotfixes were to be uninstalled themselves, one would get a barrage of past critical updates with the next Windows update and also would in the mean time pose dangerous security hazards. :eek
