removing older programs/duplicate programs

    I am wondering if there is a program that you can use to check your computer for older versions of programs/software that is on your computer that you no longer need because you have the newer program? Also is there something I can use to get rid of duplicat programs on my computer?

    Yes, there is. It's Secunia Software Inspector, and it checks to ensure most common programs are up to date.

    You can manually remove programs in your Add/Remove Programs list.
