'Repair Local Area Connection' at cable but not dsl ?

When connnect PC, hardwire, to cable connection, always need 'repair' re to connect Firefox (scrnshot attached).
When connect, hardwire, to dsl connection (different bldg), no repair needed.
Not sure if its the cable vs dsl, or some other cause. :-o
Ideas ?

 

Well what is your question here are you asking way your cat 5 cable needs to be repaired but not your wireless.

Well for one your wireless is 95% active unless you plug in your cat 5 cable so in a sense you might need to repair it.Each machine is differently setup.

Was assuming if 'Repair Local Area Connection' could fix it, it wasnt necessarily a mechanical (re cat-5 cable) problem ?
