Replacement Power cord for friend's Gateway.

I walked into school today and my friend walks up to me with her laptop and says "It won't turn on, fix it."
I figured that her battery had gotten old and needed replaced. Upon looking at her power cord though, it's all chewed up, she said that her cat had done that. Part of the wire seems broken, will look into that more later today when I can get a hold of some wire. I don't know much about replacement adapters, since I usually work on desktops.

The current adapter is a 19 volt gateway model: ADP-65HB BB

I found this on Amazon. Will it work as a replacement with it being a different model, it's still a 19 volt adapter.
