"required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing"

    Previously had startup error/corruption and decided to try a clean install.
    Wiped the hard drive and am installing Windows 7 from a USB.
    All the tips I have found suggest using a USB boot as a possible solution.

    Advice?

    Did you successfully install Windows 7?
    What exactly is the problem you are having now?

    Are you able to boot off DVDs/CDs but have trouble with CDs/DVDs being read WHILE in Windows?
