    G'day guys

I purchased a copy of NAV and NIS when I bought my new comp about a year ago and then realised it only lasted 3 months, so every three months I have to TOTALLY wipe any trace of both from my comp and reinstall and worst of all, download all the updates again...

Sooooooooo I was wondering..... Is there any way I can go to regedit and just delete the registration and then just register again??.... without all the uninstalling and installing of the actual program??

I have looked in regedit but wasn't sure what to do, so wisely have done nothing so far....

It expires again tomorrow and I think I will CRY if I have to do all that crap over again.....

    Cheers and thanks:)

instead of using NAV and NIS, why not use a free antivirus such as Avast! or AVG? Then install a free firewall like Sygate or Zone-Alarm?

    No, there is not.

    Free antivirus:
    Avast: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Avast_Home_Edition_d1968.html My favorite.
    AVG: http://www.majorgeeks.com/AVG_Free_Edition_d886.html Another MG favorite
Antivir: http://www.majorgeeks.com/AntiVir_Personal_Edition_d955.html Also highly rated by MG users.

    Free firewalls:
ZoneAlarm: http://www.majorgeeks.com/ZoneAlarm_Free_d388.html Rated No.1 in terms of protection. Simple to use.
Sygate: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Sygate_Personal_Firewall_Free_d3356.html An MG favorite. Lots of features
    Outpost: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Outpost_Firewall_Free_d1056.html

Save yourself the trouble of reformatting, not to mention NIS and NAV are resource hogs.

Agree totally with Just Playin and acejones. Any of those choices will meet your needs. My favourites are Avast and Zone Alarm, but many here have other preferences. Best of all, they are all free, I think, as I have not checked them all out as I feel no need to change. Bazza
