restore CD's from an ACER desktop?

    I'm trying to help a friend that has an ACER desktop with Win vista home premium installed. Would anyone know how to create restore cd/dvd?
    Acer support told me there is a way to do it but they would have to charge me because it was out of warranty....

    My wife had an Acer and what you are looking for was right on the desktop, but it should also be on the start menu. From memory I believe it was called something like eData Security, and with it you could make backup images of the OS drive and also create the bootable recovery CDs you would need in the event the system wouldn't boot.
