restore partition

is there a way to restore from the retore partition on the hard drive , it seems like it is locked .

 

The exact method varies by PC mfr.; however the "splash" screen when you first turn on the PC may give you a hint.

Some models will tell you to press one of the function keys (F9, F11, etc.) to start the restore process.

If this doesn't show, boot the PC into Safe Mode by pressing "F8" repeatedly as soon as you hit the on switch. In the list of options that pops up, there may be a choice to enter the mfr. restore utility near the bottom of the list.

If all else fails, go online and check the mfr. specs/support page for your specific make/model.

when it is restarting it says to hit f10 to go to recovery but even when I am pressing f10 repeatedly it just goes right on starting up in windows
