Restore/transfer Data files to new hard drive

    I made four data DVD's of my entire hard drive using an oem Nero program before the drive crashed. Somewhere in those DVD's is my 2005 tax files. Can I restore all dvd's to a new, already prgram loaded hard drive without causing any problems? If so, how do I transfer the data files and where do I put them? Will the 05 tax program find the correct files?
