right mouse click doesnt work

    Dear all
    Everytime i try to right click on a file/foldder, nothing happens,theres just no response, i have checked mouse properties in control panel, nothing to indicate that right click function is turned off, i think its more to do with the file association, if i open a folder and then press file to get the properties nothing happens, it just goes into busy mode.
    all help appreciated.

    Weird one, I would try installing mouse software and see if you can edit it then. It is an option under mouse properties, if you do not see it, then this is an option.

    I have updated the drivers,but not tried unistalling and then reinstalling them, its a laptop and i one mouse is on the laptop and theres a wireless one.
    i am thinking that it may be a registry problem, as i have run CC cleaner and that clears out registry items.
    could that have deleted a windows xp file which is connected this problem?
