    Hi folks i was recently given the clean bill of health from your helpful malware exterminators but i have a question about my RK report that i forgot to ask.

    Is it normal to have a LL2 error reading the MBR message and i see a non valid operating system message and partition tables?

    Just want to know if this is a problem

    Thanks

    The RogueKiller log in that thread does not show any problems.

    Any idea why my screenshots in my first post show what they do but the logs are apparently clean as you say ?

    I circled my concern in the example in " paint " . I'm interested in knowing why does my examples in my first post show error reading LLR2 and the final report reads everythings OK?

    Do you advise running through the steps again because of what it says or should i rerun just RK to see if it shows what i circled as a concern ?

    Thank you very much Chaslang

    To all questions, my answer is no.

    I don't know why it thinks there is an issue in your partition table. But this does not mean there is malware. It could be something non-standard that is triggering this. Also I cannot see which drive you are looking at based on this image. RK will frequently show MBR Code unknown when the MBR is just fine. For example the below is from a perfectly normal HP Computer with no malware
    Code:
    ¤¤¤ MBR Check: ¤¤¤
    +++++ PhysicalDrive0: ([URL="file://\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0"]\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0[/URL] @ SCSI) (Standard disk drives) - ST1000DM 003-1CH162 SCSI Disk Device +++++
    --- User ---
    [MBR] 0c61059e8e59db16df419353ccc579bc
    [BSP] f197f3372ff1c30410151096472547a1 : MBR Code unknown
    Partition table:
    0 - [ACTIVE] NTFS (0x07) [VISIBLE] Offset (sectors): 63 | Size: 940393 Mo
    1 - [XXXXXX] NTFS (0x07) [VISIBLE] Offset (sectors): 1925924864 | Size: 13475 Mo
    User = LL1 ... OK!
    Error reading LL2 MBR!
    Finished : << RKreport[0]_S_09222013_171502.txt >>

    No and no. There is nothing wrong as far as I'm concerned.
