Rome total war slow mouse speed

hello
game ran ok until uninstalling a couple of months back then re loaded and mouse lagging badly only on this game
3ghz athlon & 1 meg memory so thats fine
any ideas

 

Elaborate if you can, is it more like a constant studder lag like it will freeze and move somewhere and repeat or just really sluggish and slow?

What Video Card are you using?
Are the drivers updated?
Are there any programs running in the background (I.E. Memory hogs like P2P sharing programs, office programs, music players, video editing software, etc...)?

 

Thats trippy the fact that it's happening only on one game. Try downloading PS2 rate. Change your mouse refresh to say, 200Hz, then ALT+TAB out of Rome TW and see if PS2 rate has change at all.

 

You said Mouse speed earlier, trying not to sound stupid, but is the mouse sensitivity at the right lvl you want it?

iis just slugish and slow

3) no only use pc for gaming
its just odd its only on this game a friend has the same game i think i might uninstall and run his to see if thers a diffrence

What BUS type is the Video Card on?

To be completely honest...I am a little optimistic on the 9200 and might be 'a' cause but then again it might not, though, my system struggles with that game. It's probably one of the most demanding RTS' I've seen and as Ace said you could try the mouse sensitivity in-game and see if that makes a difference and maybe lower the detail some also, disable shadows if they aren't already.

The funny thing is, I have played some of the most demanding PC games to date with flying colors but, still struggle with Rome:TW so hehe the game is a puzzle really.
