Rome Total War Video Prob

Whats Up?

i just got rome total war and am running specs below...with a 6600GT (Gigabyte)

Through out the whole game (menu screens 2) i get flickering.
i have the latest drivers for my card and i am downloading the patch for rome right now...it will take all day because i am on 56k...does that patch make it better, or do i have to change something with my monitor's refresh rate (im at 85 hrtz)also im at 1024X768 Rez...

 

was there a readme where you downloaded the patch from? The only thing I can say is try the patch. If it fixes it, then great.. if not, we'll try to help.
