Rpcss error

i was wondering if i could get some help on an error message i keep getting. i am running windows me. i keep getting an error message that says "rpcss has caused an error in ole32.dll." what does it mean and how do i fix it? i can't use my printer because of this error. any help will be much appreciated.

Has this started recently? And did you install any programs just before it started? Do you have a dial-up connection?

this started to happen when i hooked up the internet, which is DSL, to this computer. i also noticed that my phone modem is now not working. the driver for my modem isn't there any more.

 

i think i have it fixed. under internet options, i had the 'automatically detect internet speed or connection ' checked under the LAN part of it. i unchecked it and now i can use my printer, which is when the error would come up in the first place. so thanks for the help.
