First off are you experiencing any malware type issues listed below, not an exhaustive list, but as you have not given us much information to go on, I/We can only guess as to what issues you are experiencing

• Is it popups? if so do they have a name.
• Is your browser being re-directed to a less welcome site?
• Does your Anti-Virus software alert you to a Virus/Trojan? if so whats its name.

or is it your PC is running slowly? if its not malware related and more so you are wanting to work out what software you dont need to start with your PC, then we can move this thread to the software part of the forum for advice.


But if its a malware issue then to gauge if you have malware on your PC we would need you to run the below guide to give our experts an overall picture of the state of your PC, I did run Runscanner and it dies have an online reporting feature with blue for ok and red for whats wrong, but didnt find it ideal for both malware reporting or just fine turning the likes of un-needed startups etc



Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

• If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

• Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

Notes:

1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

We do not find RunScanner information to be of any real use and their accruacy leaves much to be desired. What problems are you trying to solve? If you are worried about possible malware issues, you really should complete the instructions Halo already gave you as this is the best method of finding and removing malware.

You can also attach a log from RunScanner if you wish but we will still ask you to run the READ & RUN ME.
