Safe Mode, No Mouse

Hi, I'm preparing as per the instructions on this site before I post HJT etc files. However, I'm pulling my hair out because I have no mouse in safe mode. I've got a logitech serial mouse on XP. I can't get several of the programs to run no matter what key combinations I use. Particularly Ad-Aware.

Anybody got any tips? In the meantime, I'm running virus checking and spy checking in normal mode. Thanks.

Serial mouse with XP?

Anyhow, here are some keys that might help you:
~ Windows key to open up the Start menu, you could also use CTRL+ESC
~ TAB key to jump from window/option/icon/field to the next.
~ ENTER key to select the currently high-lighted item.
~ ALT+F4 to close an active program/window
~ Right-click substitute is SHIFT+F10
~ to refresh the contents of a window (IE or Windows Explorer), press F5
~ CTRL+A to Select All
~ CTRL+C to Copy
~ CTRL+X to Cut
~ CTRL+V to Paste
~ use ALT key to high-light and/or open menu options.
~ don't forget to use the arrow keys whenever applicable.

I knew most of them, but forgot about ALT-F4 and SHIFT-F10.
After the scan in Ad-Aware, I seem unable to select the problems to fix... and this is just one of the problems...
I'm also having problems running Trend's software in IE or the Java version.

I am glad it provided some help, sorry about my delayed responses, I am behind/slow/a bit out of it due to a recent nasty flu.
