safemode with networking

going through the virus checklist and trying to boot in safemode with networking so i can run some online virus checks. I cannot get the internet going - it shows my connections as disabled - and i cannot enable.

I had the same problem last night. I ended up just running in normal and running the aps. Still couldn't get on my wireless network. I downloaded ewido on my laptop and burned it on a cd, installed on wifes desktop, ran it it found some backdoor,and worms, deleted them and my network came back online. She got hit bad with some hijacker and porno programs.

 

well im on hardwire, have been able to go into safemode and obtain connection in the past, for some reason i cannot now.
