Samsung SyncMaster 21" Widescreen Flat-Panel TFT-LCD Monitor ?

Thinking about upgrading to :

Current monitor is Sony 17 sfII about 12yrs old and its getting tired.

Its gonna go with my current system that has an MSI Ti4200 128mb card. I know it can only go to 1280x1024 but im thinking it would work fine with this monitor. don't wanna drop the cash for a new video card .


Thoughts?

Hmm with that amount you could get a 19'' and a new video card.

Plus Costco has a no haggle return policy. Stuck/dead pixels suck, and most places won't let you return your monitor if it only has a couple.

With the money you save from one of these, you could buy a new vid card.

LCDs look like garbage if they don't run at their native resolution, IMO.

In order of quality for the 20" WS(same saize as 21 in., don't let the marketing full ya):

1. Dell
2. Viewsonic
3. Sceptre

 

im really liking the 1000:1 contrast ratio on that monitor....of course that means I will have to upgrade the video card soon as well to do 1600 x 1050. current system has agp slot, have no idea what card to get. Or if I should just order a new Dell or something(without monitor) with all new stuff. Ugh.s
