Hello all I have noticed that scanning with Superantispyware/Avira is taking a long time. The scan seems to spend most of the time scanning cache/cache.recyclebin/temp folders. I have a 1tb Western digital caviar black drive. Around 200gb of the 1tb is being used. Takes around an hour to scan the drive. Any ideas? I doubt I have a virus(No slowdowns, errors and such)but I'm not ruling that out.

In SAS for 200GB an hour would be about right for a Full Scan, but not for a Quick Scan. Not sure how long Avira would take, but when I used that AV I remember it being pretty slow.

Are your cache/temp folders full of stuff is why it's taking so long? If you keep them cleaned out with CCleaner or similar then SAS and Avira should breeze right through them.
