Screen Colors and Resolution

Hello,

Last night my system froze and when I restarted I had 640 x 480 resolution with 16 colors, so I went into setting/display, etc. and reset things to 1024 x 768 resolution and high color (16 bit), but after restarting Windows it was still 640 x 480, 16 colors. I've retried resetting things quite a few times since then and it doesn't change. I called a friend and he made a few suggestions, but there's been no change. I'm using Windows 98. I can't be certain, but this may be connected somehow with a bunch of hijacking/spyware crap I've been putting up with for ther last couple of months.

Reinstall the drivers for your video card.
