search error message

I occasionally get this error message and am not sure why or what the fix is. This time I wasn't on the computer. It was just sitting there with no open programs other than the normal ones running with XP. Any thoughts? Happy New Year!

Your error mentions AcroRd32.dll which has to do with Adobe Reader.

It says it is up to date but I will uninstall it and re-install. Thanks for your reply!

 

Error 1316. A network error occured while attempting to read the file: C:\Windows\Installer\Setup.msi.

This was a result of trying to uninstall AT&T Communications Manager. There are two such programs listed, which ATT techs said should not be but could not figure out hot remove either
