    running Windows XP MediaCenter
    DYNEX Router DX-E402
Comodo Firewall Pro with Defense +

I ran a "File Sharing" test with Shields Up http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2
and I got the following message: "Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since "Ping" is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation."

Where would a novice such as myself begin to 'repair' this problem? Can someone lead me in the right direction?

    Thanks

How do I find out which port is open to "pinging"?

Block ICMP instead of port. ICMP is the protocol PING uses.
ping and tracert use port 7.
