:(I keep having this pop up saying integrity threats detected in my task bar. At first I thought it was a windows feature trying to help. It wanted me to download unltimate defender and when I tried to download the program it didn't do anything. I think it downloaded other virus's. Anyways, this pop up keeps coming up and I have tried everything to figure out how to get rid of it. I have checked all over the internet trying to find a way to fix this and I keep coming up blank. Here is a list of all the programs I have to try and get rid of this problem:

    AVG Anti-virus free edition

    HighjackThis ver 2.0.0

    Malware Removal Tool

Spyware Doctor free download that finds problems but will not fix them without buying the paid version

    Microsoft Windows Defender

    VundoFix

I have ran all of these programs in both regular mode and saftey mode several times and they find problems and supposedly fix them but this pop up keeps coming up. I have checked out alot of other peoples threads on fixing this problem and I have come to the conclusion that this problem is machine specific because what works for one may not work for others and did not for me. Here is my HighjackThis scan report from about 1 hour ago. All the files other people show as the source of the problem and delete I don't have:

    Edit: Removed inline hijackthis log

This problem is driving me crazy. I thought that after a few days someone somewhere would have came up with a patch or solution but nothing as of yet. Can someone please help me??????

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Sadly hijackthis on its own doesnt hightlight all the malware thats possibly on your PC, which is why ist best to follow this comprehensive guide, to both start basic cleaning of your PC and get some much needed log files for you to attach as those will pinpoint malware effectively.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
