Security suite? 4 Vista

I'm starting from scratch with windows Vista new drive new OP. But anyway I get CA Security center from my internet provider. Would anyone recommend a better security suite or seprate programs(preferablly freeware or shareware) that work with Vista; or is CA ok?

CA Security is good enough, they also keeps releasing update packages so usually any open bugs are quickly resolved.

My personal advice is to stick to Anti-Virus and Anti-spyware only. Use VISTA FW and it should be sufficient, CA Web Inspector protection is redundant just basic anti phishing which is available in IE7 anyway.
If you have kids then install the Parental Control, otherwise don't bother.

I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 7 and it's very fine,u'll get all u need

 

I give my vote to Norton Internet Security 2008.

Vista firewall is only sufficient for those who are very proficient with their software, and are able to keep their machine free of malware.

Otherwise, in its default form, it is not sufficient.

 

I too just got NIS 2008 for vista After PCmag's review just installed it today it does not seem to slow down vista any at all...
