    Hi,
I got a problem which I am a bit stumped on.

There was a server called server (192.168.0.1) as a DC of domain.local. that server died and I needed to rebuild it so I started from scratch. On the new install I called the server server (192.168.0.253). It is a DC which hosts DNS, DHCP, AD. The new domain is also called domain.local

Some clients were easily joined to the new domain via the normal way but a couple of them have this problem whereby when the problem clients try to ping 'server' it comes up as pinging 192.168.0.1 (the old server). I've tried flushing the DNS on the client, changing IPs. I've checked the DNS forward records and server is in there pointing to 192.168.0.253.

Below has all been done on the client:

    C:\Program Files\Support Tools>ipconfig /displaydns
