service packs?

hey

i just reinstalled my windows xp to wipe my system clean andhave reinstalled it using the service pack 1 disk,

however i have found that things liek msn and yahoo require me to have a service pack 2?

dos anyone know where i can get one of these service pack things from at all?

since you reinstalled xp, youll need to go through all of the windows updates. install everything until theres nothing left to install. youll get the srevice packs via windows updates.

 

Ya well, if you have the patience of Jobe, SP3 installs in 40 minutes and then the OP need only grab the post SP3 updates through WU.

 

Be sure to install all your system drivers (esp the audio if it's hi-def) before installing SP3. Lots of people have issues with installing their audio when SP3 is installed before the drivers (a quick look through the driver forum will confirm this ).

I don't do driver forum dlb. I'm surprised MG's is allowed to host SP3 as MS is quite direct in saying that they are the 'only source',

I guess having 5 MVP's here has something to do with it.
