SETUP Programs not WORKIN!! help!

Hi. i tried to install DELTA FORCE 2. The Autorun worked perfectly fine but the setup program wouldnt run. at first i thought it was the CD's fault. So i tried to install HALF-LIFE. same exact problem. Autorun was fine, but when i clicked on "INSTALL HALF-LIFE" the setup program wouldnt start and run. any solutions??? If u have any suggestins please email me or reply to this post! thanks!

PS. iTunes seems to recognize my CD-R drive. but Roxio's Easy Creator seems to have trouble. any suggestions here? THANKS!

 

Roxio has a listing of supported drives on their website.

Can you install anything?

Try installing Ad-Aware, run it.

Also, get all the Microsoft updates available.

Get the latest driver/firmware available for your burner as well (<--- do this first actually).

 

i dl'd ad-aware and the setup worked fine. great app. anyways. i think only the setups from CD's dont work. any help?

 

just so we have this straight:
You can run EXE's from your hard drive but you can't run EXE's from CD's.

Is this correct?

sometimes when i insert a CD. a blue screen pops up and the comp restarts. anyhelp?
