Shockwave player message

Hi, every ten minutes or so, my computer screen goes blank and this message comes up "this application requires shockwave player 10, which is not installed. click Ok to download it." and a box that says OK and Cancel, Ok and cancel do the same thing, take me back to the log on screen, where I log back on to my account. I have no idea which application it is trying to run, as there are none I know of and I have downloaded and installed the most recent shockwave player to no avail. What should I do to make it go away? :confused
