Not sure if this is Malware or not but everyday around 12:10 my system locks up and I have to shut down. I have done all the necessary cleaning according to Majorgeeks suggestions so it may be something else, any ideas? I am running Vista Professional

If you have worked your way thru all of the Read and Run me First procedures, you should therefore have some logs to upload here for our reviewal, those being:

    • SUPERantispyware
    • Malware Bytes Anti-Malware
    • Combofix
    • MGlogs.zip

As soon as you can get these to us we can work out a plan of action for your machine :)

    Thanks

    Hi there!

    1) Can I ask you, when you ran MGTools did you receive any error messages at all? If so could you try your best to remember what they were, or even better if you noted it down that would be great.

    2) Did you agree to the HijackThis license agreement?

    3) Also could you tell me if perhaps you could have exited out of the program before it ran completely?

Please re run MGtools.exe this time making sure you read everything here for any error messages in this link that you may have :

    Using MGTools

    Thanks
    Kes

Thanks for your help and patience in advance.

I re-ran the MGtools and received the following error:

    Steelwerx WhoamI has stopped working

I am posting the Hijack log and the zip folder, are there any other files I should attach besides these?

    Thanks,

    cranport

    Your logs are clean...:)

    1)
Please go to Add and Remove programs and uninstall the following software:

    • Java(TM) 6 Update 5
    • Java(TM) 6 Update 7

    2) Run Ccleaner!

As to why your system is "locking up" at the same time every day, I would suggest to check the task manager to see if you can find out more as to what exactly is going on at that specific time...either way, you have no malware problems, your logs are clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
